From what I’ve been told, it’s totally acceptable to respond to comments responding to blog posts you wrote. Some writers choose to respond via comments of their own, some in totally separate posts. Others do a combination of the two. I’m guilty of responding via comments in the past, but tonight I’m gonna go via a separate post to mix things up.

“’sweet tea logic’ ? surely this constitutes some sort of plagerism! although i do love sweet tea.”
Thanks for writing hmm.
First, I’m glad we share a love of the sweet tea. There are two things I didn’t appreciate enough growing up until I moved to Philadelphia for college: my mom (who is a badass) and sweet tea. Some readers might be shocked/offended that I’m grouping my mom and a beverage together in this way. However, as my mom knows how strongly I feel about sweet tea (and always has at least a half gallon awaiting me when I make my triumphant returns to the Jville), I think she’d be honored/flattered. Other readers might be shocked/offended that I’m implicitly insulting the Wawa iced teas which sustained me throughout my undergraduate years. I promise, I intended no such slight. I could sing the virtues of teh Wawa Diet Lemonade Iced Tea for ages. The fact each half gallon contains only 40 calories is only the icing on the cake or the cherry on top. However, sweet tea is authentic and southern and those are two qualities I appreciate. I feel like this topic is worthy of a future post of its own so I’ll stop there.
Second, “plagerism”, you say? To begin with, I’m insulted that you’d make such an accusation. Also, I’m not sure what
you’re actually accusing me of. I checked the dictionary and it didn’t have an entry for plagerism. Neither did urbandictionary. I’m guessing you meant to say plaguerism and I must wholeheartedly deny that accusation. I may have sick skills on the court, sick legal writing technique, sick speed on teh bike, or a sick body, but I am quite healthy at the moment and seriously doubt that I am capable of spreading any sort of sickness (aside from broken ankles). Alternatively, perhaps you’re insinuating my blog is infecting the readership’s computers w/ a virus. If that is indeed the case, label me as totally in the dark. Readers of FFJ, if my blog is destroying your computer, please let me know.
And thanks for the comments.

Wow, thanks for the response! Sweet Tea is delicious, and I look forward to your possible future post on the subject.
I indeed did misspell/mistype. I of course meant plagiarism, although I’m not sure if that was really the word I was looking for. I simply meant that this idea of “Sweet Tea Logic” is very similar to other related formulas of “[Regional Food] Logic”. Taylor Ham Logic? Boiled Peanut Logic? Tastycake Logic? Oh the possibilities.
bojangles has the best sweet tea you’ll ever taste. hands down. i believe it’s supersaturated with both sugar and deliciousness.
